INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains the information that Shikara Group Pty Ltd collects about users of the JODI mobile application and related website (jodiapp.com) how we use that information, and with whom we share it. As used in this policy, the terms "JODI," "us," "we," "our," and "ourselves" refer to Shikara Group Pty Ltd ("the Company" that created JODI). The terms "you," "your," and "yourself" refer to users of our Service.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Registration (Facebook Login)

In order to register, you will be asked to sign in with your Facebook account. In doing so, you authorize us to collect relevant information necessary to enable JODI to access Facebook, and Facebook will provide us with access to certain information that you have provided to it. By allowing us to access your Facebook account, you understand that we will obtain and share your information, as well as the name and profile picture of your Facebook friends who are common Facebook friends with other JODI users in your network or geolocation. We will use, store, and disclose such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. However, please remember that the manner in which Facebook uses, stores, and discloses information is governed by its policies, and JODI shall have no liability or responsibility for its privacy practices or other actions.

Voluntary Personal Information

Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on publicly-viewable screens or pages, that information will be publicly available and can be collected and used by others. For example, if you post your email address, you may receive unsolicited messages. We cannot control who reads your posting or what other users may do with the information you voluntarily post, so we encourage you to exercise discretion and caution with respect to your personal information. If you wish, we will delete your account information; to do so, please close your account by sending an email to info@jodiapp.com

Information about Others

We may collect and store personal information about other people that is available to us through your Facebook login, namely the name and picture of certain of your Facebook friends as follows: we will only share this information with other JODI users who are already friends with your Facebook friend and who already have access to such information.

Location

JODI is a location based mobile dating application that helps you find Indian singles nearby. While the JODI application is in use, we keep track of your location information (e.g. by using the GPS on your mobile device), to provide the functionality of our service. Please keep in mind that other JODI users can see this information about you, and they may use it or disclose it to other individuals or entities outside of our control, and without our knowledge. Your information may be subject to abuse, misuse, or monitoring by others, and you share this information at your own risk. Unless you turn off your location services, we will collect your location information, and by using our service, you consent to our collection, storage, and analysis of your location data.

Device Information

In order to recognize you, store your preferences, and track your use of our application, we may store your mobile device IDs (the unique identifier assigned to a device by the manufacturer) when you use the JODI application. Unlike cookies, device IDs cannot be deleted.

Additional Information

When you use our Service, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. JODI may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by JODI affiliates, agents or service providers. This Service may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of users of our services, or analyzing trends in downloads, invites, or messaging, for instance. JODI may conduct research on customer demographics by aggregating individual data of our users. JODI may share this non-identifiable and aggregate data with its affiliates, agents, and business partners, but this type of aggregated data does not identify you personally.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. For instance, we use your information to provide the core functionality of our service (connecting you with Indian singles), to monitor your use of the service and improve the user experience, to respond to your comments and inquiries, to communicate with you regarding the service, and for any other purpose for which the information was provided.

3. USE OF YOUR INFORMATION BY OTHERS

JODI cares deeply about your privacy and without your prior consent, we will not share your Personal Information except as outlined in this Privacy Policy. With that said, there may be circumstances that may lead us to share your Personal Information to a third party without further notice to you. Such circumstances include: In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event; with service providers we work with in order to provide our Service; with our corporate affiliates or subsidiaries for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy; to enforce our Privacy Policy or other terms of service; and if required to do so by law or when we believe in good faith that such disclosures are required by law; to protect and defend the rights or property of JODI, protect the personal safety of users of the site or the public, or protect against legal liability.

4. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

We do not allow persons under 18 to register for any service, and we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from persons under the age of 18. If you are under 18 years of age, please do not use our Services and please do not submit any personal information through our Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing children under the age of 18 never to use our Services. Please contact us immediately if you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 has provided personal information to JODI, and we will make every attempt to delete that information from our databases.

5. INFORMATION FROM USERS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES

If you're outside Australia, your information will be sent to and stored in Australia, where our servers are located. By using JODI, you agree to the information collection, use, and sharing practices described in this Privacy Policy.

6. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES OR SERVICES

This Service may contain links to other websites or services not operated or controlled by JODI. The policies and procedures we describe here do not apply to these third party sites, nor do the links from this Service imply that JODI endorses or has reviewed these third party sites. We suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

7. STEPS WE TAKE TO PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY

JODI takes reasonable steps to protect the Personal Information provided via the Service from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet, email or other electronic transmission is ever fully secure or error free, so you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us in this way.

8. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Although most changes are likely to be minor, JODI may change its Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will let you know by changing the "Last Updated" date within this Privacy Policy, and your continued use of the Service shall indicate your agreement with the terms of the revised Privacy Policy.
